Hiking the Swiss Alps

On a four-day weekend, we decided to drive to Switzerland, so we could go camping and hiking. This was the first time either of us had been to Switzerland, so it was exciting to see a new country and the famous Swiss Alps!  It's a hike  to Switzerland (pun intended). From Kaiserslautern, it's roughly a seven-hour drive. If that seems too long a trip for you, then you can easily spend the night in Basel or Bern in order to break up the drive. The 2016 sticker is good through January 31, 2017. Each 'year' sticker is valid from the Decem

They would not let us bring food or drink onto the airplane. They actually made us throw away our Starbuck's coffees because they wanted us to purchase the crappy coffee on the airplane. It was one thing after another, so beware when flying Aer Lingus.  We got in late, but we wanted to do something before calling it a night. I was starving, so we found a Chips stand that was still open. I ordered garlic chips and Nate got curry chips. They were delicious, and as we were eating them next to the stand, a wom
