Camping in Luxembourg

Image
For Columbus Day weekend, we went to Luxembourg to camp with some of our friends and two adorable pups. It is hard to find 'real camping' in our part of Europe. Typically, a campsite in Germany consists of a couple hundred campers and RVs parked right next to each other. Tent camping is almost nonexistent.  I was able to find this campsite in Echternach, Luxembourg. Typically, they have 3 different sites available~ one for long-term campers (7 months+), one tent-only campsite for younger people, and a mixed campsite for both. Since we were camping at the end of the season, the tent-only site was already closed, so we were in the mixed site which was virtually empty.  "Camping Officiel" was very nice, with light poles at every site, optional electric hook-ups, clean and free restrooms and showers, and it was very close to many trails. I highly recommend the campsite, and look forward to renting one of the adorable Finnish Kuschelkotas or a Camping-Fass.
