A Night in Mijas

During our pre-wedding trip to Malaga last week, we spent a night in Mijas on the beach since we had some meetings nearby in Fuengirola. We rented a condo through AirBnB from a wonderfully nice woman named Maria. The place was amazing! The furniture was all really nice and she even bought us some groceries for the one night we stayed there, all for only $50/night!

We could hear the ocean from our room, which really put us at ease. We moved out of Abilene the first week of November, and we just moved into our place on Friday, so we had been living out of suitcases for three months. Moving to Germany is not an easy process, and this trip was a great 'reset.'

Just steps from the condo complex was a chiringuito (beach bar), where we partook in some white wine. They were so busy that they literally ran out of food, but everything looked and smelled amazing. We enjoyed our time sipping on wine and looking out the window at the beach. Later, we walked along the path that ran alongside the water for a while until we decided to go in to town for dinner.
